Jo's Writing Dress is the third pattern in Keeper's Dolly Duds “Little Women” series. This is simple but fashionable dress is free of excess embellishments that might encumber Jo's high-spirited and carefree personality, but includes a few special design details that satisfy her appreciation of beautiful things. The front bodice features a front seam and the fabric is cut at an angle that adds an interesting "V" detail when sewn with striped or plaid fabrics. The dropped sleeves give the shoulders a smooth gentle curve and are crowned with a ruffled sleeve cap that gives it an added touch of femininity. The full sleeves are cut on the bias to give them a soft drape and add another subtle design detail when striped or plaid fabrics are used. The bottom edges of the sleeves are finished with a bias cut trim and fasten with a button and button loop. The Civil War Era silhouette is completed with full calf-length skirting that is pleated in the front and gathered in the back. The Pretty Pleats dress is a Classic Style with a modern twist your 18 inch doll is sure to love!

The bodice front has two little pockets and a faux button placket with four decorative buttons going down the center front. The bodice is lined. The skirt of the dress is circular and pleated all around.

The belt is a separate piece with a slide buckle. It closes in the back with an invisible zipper.
