“Melrose”, by Karen Lorraine Design, is a pretty, sleeveless dress designed to fit 10½"- 12" (27-31cm) dolls such as: Barbie® Fashionistas®, Blythe®, and Pullip™. The sleeveless dress is made from woven (non-stretch) fabrics and contains easy darts in the front and back of the bodice. These darts, along with the simple (dartless) facing give the bodice a beautiful shape. A gathered skirt and simple closures complete the outfit.

A Dart Supplement is offered at the back of the pattern for seamstresses who are new to dart sewing. In addition, while the dress is intended to be turned right way out through the shoulders, instructions are given for those who have arthritic fingers or prefer not to turn through the shoulders. There are also some quick tips on sewing for small dolls.

“Meadow”, by Karen Lorraine Design, is a gentle sleeveless dress designed to fit small fashion dolls such as Blythe®, Pullip® (Type 3 and 4 body), Barbie® Fashionista®, Disney Descendants®, Disney Princesses®, Kruselings®, and the Barbie® sizes known as Tall, Curvy and Petite.

The sleeveless dress is made from woven (non-stretch) fabrics, and contains options for simple hemming or hemming-with-a-facing. There are two bodice options: A low waist, and a drop waist. There are also two skirts lengths (a short and long skirt). The pockets create a further option, while the back of the dress closes with hook and loop tape or snap fasteners. Special note about about the sizing for Barbie® which is used in this pattern. One of the main dolls this pattern is written for is the Barbie® Fashionista® range. “Shanghai Skirt”, by Karen Lorraine Design, consists of a classic pencil skirt with functioning front and back pockets, topstitching, and an easy back closure. The hem of the skirt is distressed for a bit of edginess, and this can be emphasized more (or less).

There are two examples of “Shanghai Skirt” in this pattern: one features a classic pencil skirt made from 2-way stretch denim and including topstitching (in a contrasting thread), while the other is a classic pencil skirt made from 2-way stretch knit fabric and does not include topstitching nor the back pockets. Both examples include functioning front pockets. There are also two options for the waistband: the first is the waistband depicted in these pictures, while the second is a simpler option that uses fold over elastic.

Fashion dolls love wearing dungarees. They’re comfy and stylish all-in-one. This particular pattern offers the Fashion Doll lots of opportunities to explore her fashion sense, while still allowing her to keep up with her daily activities.

The Dress-it-up dungarees pattern, by Karen Lorraine Design, consists of unlined overalls with a front pocket on the bib. The dungarees are designed to be sewn with woven cotton fabric, although you can use a stretch fabric if desired. A denim fabric (with or without stretch) allows for a jean-type look, while a quilting cotton works particularly well in giving the “dungaree drape”.

This pattern is for an intermediate seamstress and contains more features than the pattern "Dungarees”. The new features include a waistband pitched at the natural-waist, which is in keeping with the current trend. Belt loops also make an appearance, and can be used with a belt or as an embellishment alone. Another feature involves areas that can be topstitched, including the stylish topstitching on the legs.
