Here's a Nautical Top and Dress, by Forever 18 Inches, to shiver your timbers: they're both quick sewing projects with three main pattern pieces--and there's no facing, no lining or set-in sleeves, which means no fuss! This PDF doll clothes pattern is designed to fit 13" - 14.5" dolls such as Minouche, Hearts For Hearts Girls®, and Welliewishers™.

The Classic Sailor Collar and Dickey are equally fast and simple to construct because they're detachable rather than permanently stitched into the neckline. When your dolls are feeling their sea legs the Collar and Dickey can be snapped together and fitted over the Top or Dress; if they feel like styling a simple shift or blouse with a sophisticated cut the Dress or Top can be worn independently. The Dress also has an option for a tacked-in Dickey for a streamlined nautical vibe.

Seamstresses will have fun playing around with the multiple options and combinations that can be made with this pattern--and because it's an easy-level, user-friendly pattern it's perfect for on-line sellers and craft fairs. Suggested Fabrics:

For the Top: light to medium-weight fabric made with natural fibers. For the Dress: medium-weight fabric made in a natural fiber such as Kona cotton.
For the Collar/Dickey: medium-weight fabric in a natural fiber such as Kona cotton.
For the Collar Bow: lightweight silky fabric or a lightweight natural fabric

Fabric Requirements:

Option 1 Top: ¼ yd. 45" wide fabric OR large scrap
Option 2 Removable Collar (w/Dickey): ¼ yd. 45" wide fabric OR large scrap
Option 3 Bonus Dress (w/Dickey): 1/3 yd. 45" wide fabric

2. One pair of small, very sharp scissors to trim seam allowances

The Faux Button Jumper, by Forever 18 Inches, is a simple pattern with detailing that looks complicated--but isn't! It looks like it has a front placket, but looks can be deceiving. The placket is all show, and the jumper actually has only three main pattern pieces, plus cut strips for Straps and Optional Pockets. Option 1 is an Easy-level project for newer seamstress or those who want quick results (no closures, no lining, no facing, no worries!). Option 2 is slightly more advanced, and is finished with a lining to accommodate lighter-weight fabrics. Either option can be made with or without the optional pockets.

The directions have been written comprehensively with many explanatory details for those who are newer to sewing. An experienced seamstress will probably be able to construct the Jumper just by reading the instructions highlighted in bold text. Happy sewing!
