Let it snow! This pattern features beading that resembles a soft snow falling on a cool winter’s night!
The sweater is form fitting and has two lengths. The cropped version is perfect over a party skirt and the standard length is lovely over dress pants or jeans. There are a few short rows knit on the back which creates a nice, relaxed neckline in the front. The sweater is knit top down with Raglan sleeves.
Beads! The cropped sweater shows off approximately 50 beads and the standard length has approximately 70 beads. The beads are strung onto the yarn prior to starting to knit and are knit into the fabric. Instructions for this technique are provided, but feel free to use any beading technique that you like!
The hat has approximately 165 beads. Add a pom pom to the hat or leave it plain to show off the beading.
Knit the sweater and hat with or without beads - either way, it's so much fun!

Supplies Needed:
Needles:
- Sweater: US size 1.5 (2.5mm) circular needles for the body of sweater and US size 1.5 (2.5mm) double pointed needles for the sleeves.
- Hat: US size 1 (2.25mm) and US size 1.5 (2.5mm) circular needles.
Note: The sweater and hat are knit flat. Circular needles are suggested to hold all the stitches.
Yarn:
- Approximately 40 grams of fingering weight (Category 1) yarn. (More if creating a pom pom.)
Beads:
- Size 8/0 seed beads (approximately 235)
Notions:
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- 4 buttons (cropped length) or 5 buttons (standard length)
- 1/4” to 3/8” Floss threader

- Blocking board and pins

- Pom Pom maker
