Course Overview:
Join Donna this month for a look at some different techniques using a serger. These videos will build on the topics discussed in the Serger Basics Course, so if you haven’t seen those, you might want to check them out first, especially if you aren’t familiar with using sergers already.
- The first week, we will be discussing Differential Feed and how it can be used to give a smoother edge to your fabric.
- The next week, we’ll look at using the Differential Feed function to create a Gathered edge using the serger.
- The third week will focus on the rolled edge. We’ve talked about this stitch before, but this time, the focus will be on using special thread to create a more decorative edge.
- Then, we will put all the techniques together in the Trendy Maxi Skirt by 123 Mulberry Street.
